Wool and Company is located in downtown Geneva, Illinois and is a full service knitting and crochet store. In addition to our bricks and mortar store we offer a full e-commerce capability at www.woolandcompany.com

Our mission is to spread our love of knitting in a fun, creative and informative way.

Knitting with Company has been one of our most popular community events since we first opened our knitting store store for business in 2000 and Knitting with Company is just one way that we deliver on our mission.

Every Friday morning, Friday Evening and Sunday afternoon knitters from around the western suburbs of Chicago congregate at the “center tables” in our store to share their knitting and crochet adventures. Stories are shared, friends are made and the community is extended. Come and join us. If you can’t make it then maybe we can share a little of our community with you through this web site.

Our retail location is located in the heart of the historic downtown shopping district of Geneva, Illinois. We’re directly across from the Post Office. Geneva is about 30 miles west of downtown Chicago (a one hour ride on Metra’s Union Pacific West Line from the Ogilvie Transportation Center) and we’re a short walk from the Geneva station.

If you’d rather drive – take the the Lincoln Highway (Illinois Route 38) west from downtown Chicago until you intersect with Third Street in Geneva. Park up and look around, we’re going to be a short walk away.

From its Victorian “painted ladies” along brick-accented streets to the tree-lined shopping district, Geneva is a community with flair. The “Third Street Shops” are a shopper’s delight. Geneva has many festivals and events that bring our streets alive throughout the year. Come celebrate with us! Join us for our Knit Out on the Courthouse Lawn during Swedish Days.
