Whitefish Township EMS Quilts

We Did It! Many, many thanks go to the very ambitious and energetic stitchers who came and helped on Random Acts of Kindness day on Wednesday, February 17. With all their help a total of 23 quilts are complete and being donated to the Whitefish Township EMS. That brings the total now donated to 300. Thanks so much ladies! We accomplished a great deal and had the best potluck lunch ever! What a wonderful day! We’ll notify you just as soon as we select the next meeting date; come join the fun.



National Quilting Day – March 20 – 10am – 5pm



Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a extended care resident. Join us in this national effort to make and donate one million pillowcases. Village Fabrics & Crafts will donate the fabric for each person to make one pillowcase to donate to the cause. Even if you have never sewn before come and join us. We will have lots of helpers and lots of fun. If you would like to stay and continue to make more pillowcases, bring your own sewing machine and your fabrics and we will be here to help! Let's see how many we can stitch up in one day! “Stashbusters”

“Stashbusters” is held on the second Saturday and the last Wednesday of each month. This is a FREE day for you to come and stitch on whatever you choose. Starting at 10 am, have fun turning your “stash” into a treasure chest of completed projects. “Stashbusters” isn’t only for sewing projects but knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, embroidery and more. It’s perfectly OK to start new projects, too!

It’s your day to have fun, relax and stitch uninterrupted!

If you don’t have a sewing machine or can’t bring yours, ours are available for use on a first come, first serve basis. There are a limited number of sewing machines, so please call ahead to reserve one.

Come for the day or as long as your schedule permits. We have coffee, tea, and there’s a fridge and microwave if you would like to bring your lunch, or you can go out or order in. It’s your day and it’s FREE!

We also service most makes and models of sewing machines and sergers.

Professional scissor sharpening available. Pinking shears included!

Yarn ball winding service - Save time, let us do the winding and you have more time for knitting or crocheting.

We do special orders! If you don’t see it, be sure to ask. We fill many requests.

While we do not have a secure web site for ordering, we accept and ship lots of phone orders.



Village Fabrics & Crafts opened in 1986 in Bellevue, Michigan. In October of 1992 we moved to our present location in Paradise, Michigan.
