Welcome to The Yarn Angel. We are a new yarn shop having opened on April 2nd, 2008. What I hope to create is a place where people can come to be inspired and to find all the tools they need and want for any project they can imagine. I plan to carry a large selection of fine and affordable yarns that are beautiful to the eyes and the touch. We will be holding project classes and basic beginner classes so that everyone can enjoy the art of knitting and crocheting. We have a Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning and a Thursday evening Social Knit where all are welcome and the more the merrier. There is no charge for this time, we only want to enjoy each others company and see what everyone is creating. It is so nice to sit and spend time with other people who share your passion and love for yarn! I have met and fortunately for me become friends with some exceptionally creative and caring people since opening my shop. I feel I am the lucky one and hope to continue knitting and crocheting with everyone for many years.
We have now settled into our new location at 318 Ridge Street, Queensbury, New York. For those of you who have not seen the new shop, you are in for a wonderful surprise. We have a lot more room to show off all of our beautiful yarns and a large classroom for classes and events. Parking is no longer a problem and there are no more stairs into the shop for more convenience. We also brought back my favorite wood table for those little imprompto knit-ins the shop has become famous for.
Our shop is open to everyone and we can't wait to welcome new friends as well as our old friends to spend some time with us and have a very enjoyable experience.
