Sew Creative Cafe was started as a children's sewing school in the South Bay of Los Angeles in 1989 as "Sew Fun, Sew Easy". It became "Sew Creative Cafe" in 2003 when it was moved to its current location at 1726 Aviation Blvd., Redondo Beach, California.

We now also teach classes to adults as well, and we started doing Custom Embroidery in 2004.

We pride ourselves in passing along the skills of sewing, quilting, knitting and crochet to kids starting at the age of 6. Our objective is to teach these skills in a non-competitive environment, and to encourage kids to work at their own pace. We love to wathch them growing in self-esteem & self-confidence as their skills improve. We know that some of our students are going to do amazing things in these fields!

Sew Creative Cafe is owned and operated by Joyce Blaney.

The Custom Embroidery & Digitizing is done by her husband, Michael Zappellini
