Some of my fondest childhood memories are of my weeklong summertime visits with my grandmothers in Mississippi - surrounded by colorful patchwork quilts, cuddly hand knitted blankets, beautiful needlepoint pillows, lacy crocheted tablecloths, and elegantly embroidered bed linens. I delighted in the special attention that I received as they patiently taught me the techniques of a needle artist and it is from them that I learned to appreciate the value of 'handmade'. What began as a way to keep me busy soon evolved into my beloved hobby and ultimately became my chosen career.
My mission, as owner of Serendipity Needleworks, is to bring the same high quality materials and instruction I was privileged to enjoy to needlework enthusiasts everywhere. All of our products are carefully selected with today's needle artist in mind. In fact, here at Serendipity, we've gathered the best of the best just for you - an exquisite selection of yarns for knitting and crochet and beautiful hand-painted needlepoint canvases. Our wall of color is stocked with a stunning assortment of vibrant fibers that will make your needlework come to life! Books and stitched models provide a wealth of inspiration and the latest tools and gadgets make completing your project easy.
Serendipity Needleworks is always abuzz with activity, too. Daily demonstrations and workshops offer the opportunity to learn something new and, if you have the time, there's always an empty chair for you to sit and stitch with us a while.
