About Us
We are three friends who in 1995, as co-workers, started a knitting group at our workplace. It grew, and grew, and grew. Soon, we realized there was no place locally to buy the kind of yarn we were looking for. One day, we went to lunch and talked about a dream of opening a yarn shop “someday”. Ideas and notes were written on a napkin; on September 6, 2003, “someday” became reality. And yes, we still have the napkin.

We found the perfect quaint space with a fireplace and brick exterior just outside the Colonial Williamsburg historic area. Just as with houses “quaint” means small, and after two years we expanded down the walkway at The Village Shops at Kingsmill into our current home with lots more room to move, a separate classroom that does lots of double duty, and more room for yarn!
