The Sea Wool from Hand Maiden is a 70% Wool 30% Seacell blend. Seacell is a seaweed based fiber that has natural anti-inflamitory properties which help to protect and nourish your skin. Nourish your skin? you ask, well, I was sceptical too, but Seacell is structured to facilitate the exchange of nutrients present in the seaweed and your skin when you wear it. While this yarn is no substitute for your daily vitamins, it knits up into a sophisticated garment that can't help but make you feel good!

When the Kintting Traditions magazine arrived at the store I couldn't help but be drawn to the colorful stockings on the cover which of course led to me pouring over the pages for the next 15 minutes thinking to myself "I'll do this project next!" (flip the page) "No, this one before that one!" This fabulous magazine contains over 40 spectacular patterns compiled from designer favorites at Spin Off Magazine. Projects range from socks to scarves to gloves to sweaters and much more. The traditional-themed styles come from various parts of the globe and include some fascinating knitting history anecdotes to go along with many of the patterns.
