Need help measuring yourself?
If you have knit sweaters in the past and have not been lucky with the finished product it may be because of measuring. Unfortunately, you cannot try on the sweater you see in a book before making it. Not to worry, with a proper lesson you will be a pro at measuring yourself.

The first thing to measure is you...
Take a soft tape measure (not a stiff yellow handy man’s tape measure) and wrap is around your chest. If you would like a fitted garment then measure exactly what your chest is. If you would like just a little ease then add 1 1/2 – 2” to your actual chest size. If you want an oversized garment, for example a loose cardigan, then add 4 – 5” to your actual chest size.

The second thing to measure is your garment as you are knitting...
Even though you got the correct gauge (I know all of you check your gauge before beginning), you still need to double check yourself as you knit. Half way up the back you should stop to measure. You might knit on a 16 stitch swatch differently than you are knitting on the 84 stitches of your sweater. Lay your piece on a flat hard surface (not your lap or a couch). It should stretch fairly easily to the finished chest measurement. This is also how you need to lie it when measuring your length.

Jennifer Knits shipping rates are flat rates, based on weight of package, location and the service you choose. Listed below are standard delivery prices with insurance within the USA:

$50 or less $6.95
$50 - $150 $8.95
$151 – $250 $12.95
$251 - $400 $15.95
$401 - $750 $18.95
$751 and up $20.95

All USA (except Hawaii) and Canada Shipments take 3 – 5 business days.

Expedited: In the USA (and all Hawaii parcels) shipment will be second day air (usually receive in 2 days) and Canada expect 3 – 4 days. Extra shipping cost is $15.

It is our intention to ship all packages within 24 hours from the order. In the event there is a problem you will be contacted by phone or by email. We ship all packages UPS so we need a street address to deliver your package (no PO box).
