The beginning of Stash:

After a long day of setting up shop, on March 15th, we opened Find Your Stash. Find Your Stash is a yarn, fabric, and crafting boutique. I met Carol through Emma, my six-year old daughter! Carol's six-year old, Sarah, and Emma are in the same class and are good little buddies. One day after running errands, Adam, my nine month old, fell asleep before I had to pick Emma up from school, so I decided to go and wait in the parking lot and knit until Emma was done. I parked next to a big green beast of a car, this is how Carol describes her car, and I noticed a familiar movement from the corner of my eye, looked over and saw Carol knitting. I jumped out of my car, ran over to hers, tapped on the window and said something like, "Oh my gosh, you knit!" And the rest is history. After many afternoons in the coffee shop talking and daydreaming about our own little yarn shop, it has now become a reality! We will be offering classes to teach knitting and have open creativity nights for crafting, sewing, and advanced knitting. --

Now for the rest of the story:

As of July 2009 I took over Stash and relocated to a quaint cottage house in the heart of Castle Rock, and although Carol is now longer a partner in Stash she will always be apart of it. You will see her often in the shop knitting away, giggling, and even take a class or two lead by her. I do miss The Barn and am glad I had the opportunity to start Stash in this wonderful building and work with all the talented people who also have shops in The Barn. As one Barnie once said, "The Barn has always been somewhat of a starting point for many businesses." I am excited to have Stash in it's own space and offer more yarn, fabric, crafts, and exciting new classes. So, stop on by and have a cup o' joe and knit, crochet, or craft something wonderful.
