Puffy Stuffed Pumpkin
Materials Needed: about 2 ozs. orange and small amount of green, fiberfill, G hook, sewing needle
Directions:
ch 34
row 1 - sl st in 2 nd ch form hook and next 2 chs, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, dc in next 13 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 3 sts, sl st in last 3 sts, ch 1 turn
The following rows will be worked in the BLO
Row 2 - 41 - sl st in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, dc in next 13 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 3 sts, sl st in last 3 sts, ch 1 turn
at the end of row 41 fasten off and leave a length of yarn to sew with. sew the sides of the pumpkin together and then cinch up the bottom of the pumpkin, stuff the pumpkin and then stitch up the top of the pumpkin.
Stem:
ch 8 join with a sl st, work 12 sc in the ring, ch 1 using a st marker to mark your place
row 1 - sc in each sc around in the BLO, ch 1
Row 2 - 4 sc in each st around, ch 1
Row 5 - sc in 1 st st, dc in next 4 sts, sl st in next 7 sts, join with a sl st to 1 st sc, ch 13 work 3 sc in 2nd ch form hook and in each remaining ch, join with a sl st to next st on stem, ch 10 in 2nd ch from hook work 3 sc and in each remaining ch. join with a sl st to next st on stem. Fasten off leaving a length of yarn to sew stem to pumpkin, sew the top of the stem together at a slight angle.
