KNIT & CROCHET ALONGS
Assistance will be available with any knitting, crocheting and finishing techniques.
It is such fun to join others knitters and crocheters in this wonderful crafts! Yarn, needles,
hooks and patterns available at Nancy’s!
BEGINNING KNITTING
The wonderful ancient art of knitting has become popular again, so come join the fun! Beginning Knitting is the class for
you if you have never picked up a knitting needle or need a review of the basics. You will learn about needles, yarn and
other tools along with these fundamentals of knitting: casting on and off, knit and purl stitches including garter stitch,
stockinette stitch, seed stitch, ribbing, and cables. With this knowledge, you will be able to knit scarves, pillow tops,
afghans and much more! The second class session will introduce additional stitches as desired by students as well as
learning to shape with increasing and decreasing and to knit lace patterns.
Class Fee: $20 for 2 Sessions - Patterns included.
(Other Supplies Sold Separately)

Saturday, February 6 and 13 ~ 9-Noon
Supplies: Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn, approximately 4 oz. or any yarn for desired project
Size 6 or 7 straight knitting needles.
Recommended Book: "Stitch & Bitch" - Available at Nancy’s
BEGINNING CROCHET
Learn to crochet! Learn single, double, and triple crochet stitches and other stitches as well as traditional Granny Squares
and edgings! Make one or more small projects, including a scarf, dishcloth, or bag - or bring a project of your own!
Class Fee: $20 for 2 Sessions - Patterns included.
(Other Supplies Sold Separately)

Available by appointment only.
Supplies: If you have a pattern you want to make, bring the recommended yarn and hook. Teacher’s recommendation:
worsted weight yarn and a size I, J, or K hook. Several patterns will be provided. Yarn and hooks are available at Nancy’s.
