FuzzyMabel is owned and managed by Cynthia Robinson. Cynthia has more than 30 years' experience in a variety of fiber arts—including knitting, crochet, needlepoint, sewing, quilting, and weaving—and has been creating original knitwear designs for 20 years. Additionally, she has been a professional developer of corporate Web sites since 1996.
At long last, we are pleased to announce that we have reopened in our new walk-in shoplocation. Originally located on St. Simons Island, GA, we moved all our operations to Lancaster, SC, during 2007 and welcome you to visit us here!
What's unique about Fuzzymabel.com? Cynthia's expertise from the different aspects of online yarn buying—as a knitter, an online shopper, and a Web site developer—means that we created this site from the perspective of a customer.
Where does the name come from? Fuzzy and Mabel—two mutts that wandered into our livesas the kernel for this site and our shop was germinating.
Fuzzy lives up to his name. Part Chow-Chow, part Retriever (your guess at which kind is as good as ours), Fuzzy has plenty of halo, a purple tongue, a generous personality, and loves extra treats. Hence our Fuzzy Dozen.
Mabel, on the other hand, is the anti-Fuzzy. A sleek and gorgeous Dalmatian/Pit Bull/Great Dane (?) mix, she is quick and long, but a simple soul. She was the perfect choice to set our skill level ratings. After all, if Mabel could do it, it *must* be easy.
