Fiber Arts Center

The Española Valley Fiber Arts Center is a unique resource for fiber artists and those who find beauty in the fiber arts. Visitors to the adobe storefront in the historic district of Española, New Mexico enter a world of looms, colorful yarns, beautiful handmade textiles, books, and supplies. They may also find busy students learning to weave, spinners gathering for "Spinning Saturday", Pueblo women purchasing materials for embroidery, a tapestry artist weaving her latest creation, a Hispanic weaver from the High Road searching for just the right color of yarn, or children working on their backstrap looms. The Center is a special place where people of all ages
and backgrounds are brought together by their interest in the fiber arts.

EVFAC offers:
* Year round adult classes in all aspects of traditional and contemporary weaving, spinning, dyeing, knitting, beadwork, basketry and other fiber arts. Many of our classes are taught by nationally known master fiber artists
* Evening presentations, demonstrations and other public educational events
* Meeting and workshop space for fiber arts guilds and local college classes
* A childrens' summer fiber arts day camp and a variety of learning experiences for children of all ages
* Interest groups in spinning, knitting, quilting, dyeing and other topics
* Moderately priced yarns, fiber, looms, and other equipment, supplies and books
* Special demonstrations and lectures at local museums and area fiber arts events
* Group participation in shows and exhibits
* Enchanted Fibers, a gallery space where members' work is offered for sale
* A fully equipped fiber arts studio with a full range of equipment for weaving, spinning, sewing, dyeing, felting and surface design for use by members and students
* an extensive fiber arts reference library
* A stimulating environment for the interchange of ideas and energy
* Training for fiber artists in entrepreneurship and production, as well as apprenticeship opportunities
