Fabulous Fibers & Textiles
Our big winter event will be a demonstration day on Saturday February 13 from 10 - 4. We will have artists working on spinning, weaving, rug hooking, rug braiding, knitting, crochet, embroidery, quilting, rope making and more.... This is an opportunity for people to come in and see how fiber art work is done, and the difference between the art forms and the tools required.
Gallery Show

Throughout the month of February: Color Crossing will have a display of handmade fibers to include, raw fibers including fleece, flax, and silk ready to spin, hand spun yarn, hand woven fabric, quilting, embroidery, rug hooking, handmade paper, hand knit items, hand crocheted items, sculptural dolls, woven tapestry, woven and braided rugs.

THINGS TO SEE at other locations

During the month of February two galleries in Hudson, Seasons on St Croix and Stone Soup, will have fiber items available for sale. The Roberts Library will have a special selection of Fiber related books available for you see. The Phipps Center for the Arts will have a weaving class on Feb 13.

co-sponsored by Wisconsin's Northwest Heritage Passage funded in part by a Wisconsin Arts Board Grant

The 2010 classes are now posted!

We have been receiving new inventory for your winter projects. Stop in and see what is new. We have also added new books and patterns to the inventory. Come in and explore.

We continue to have Spin In’s on the second Saturday (10am-12pm) and third Monday’s (7-9pm) of the month December will be held Dec 14th one week early. Please give us a call if you have any questions. Or if you would like to be added to our email list of spinners, please send me an email at colorcrossing@sbcglobal.net. I will forward you request to our volunteer organizer and Yahoo Group coordinator, then you will information on what the local spinners are doing. The Monday night (7:00-9:00pm) group is called the Backdoor Spinners. They meet when the shop is not officially open, so if the front door is not open, go to the backdoor. Usually the backdoor is more convenient, as they meet in the backroom.
